Well, it all began 12 million years ago, at WalMart. I was strolling through the pet aisle, when I came upon the fish tanks. I was browsing the different tanks, when my gaze turned to the extremely overcrowded tank of Common Goldfish. Well this made me upset, so I decided to buy 4 goldfish. They were only 13 cents each which was perfect for my budget! I had to find some random worker and took my baggie of fish home!

When I first arrived home, I knew my fish needed a home, so I put all of them in a fish bowl, like the ones you see on T.V. (lawls), cruel I know, but I think it was better than that bag. I begged my parents for weeks to get a lovely fish tank for my little darlings. My dad grunted his answer and the next day, it was back to WalMart to get the tank! I returned home with a 5 Gallon tank and immediately set it up for the comfort of my little darlings.

Now that all of the fish were situated, I decided to name them after the snacks my dad would buy. Thusly they were named: Ho-Ho, Ding Dong, Twinkie, and Suzy Q. They were all so tiny, malnurished no doubt, but one in particular concerned me very much. Twinkie was obviously the runt of the group, but she was friends with all of the others and was able to eat her share of food. All was well until one morning, I discovered Ho-Ho and Ding Dong at the bottom of the tank, and to my horror, both of their fins were shredded! My fist guess was that they were males fighting over the two females, but the next day, a strange fuzzyness appeared on the same fish. I removed them from the tank and placed them in separate bowls, hoping that my little boys would be okay. The next morning, I discovered the two, belly-up in their bowls.

Now only Suzy Q and Twinkie remained. I quickly purchased a preventative medication so whatever afflicted Ding Dong and Ho-Ho, would not sicken them. After that, the fish happily lived together for about 6 months before Suzy Q died. When it came time to hold a funeral for her in the half bathroom/laundry room, I was to dump the water into the toilet while my brother (10 yrs. of age) prepared to say a few words in her name. I poured the water, but before my brother could open his mouth, the toilet flushed! Turns out I poured it too fast and the toilet automatically flushed. Needless to say, it was the most humuorous fish funeral ever!

So now Twinkie is the only fish left in my tank, accompanied by two snails. Next to her tank, is a fish bowl with my female betta, Phurie (pronounced Fury). And that my friends, is the sad, long, and positively life-changing story of my fish!
